Lovin' Ms. Swift

It’s easy to judge Taylor Swift. She used to be so simple, young and clean. Now her songs are angsty anthems of womanhood, love, and mistakes. Now, granted, she isn’t as easy a target as Miley, but she still gets her share of disappointed fan posts.

For me, it is easy to love Taylor. Taylor is me (okay - a slightly younger version to which I am tenaciously clinging), Taylor is early 20-something girls everywhere, Taylor is freedom to love and to be sad, Taylor is the voice of a generation of girls tryna find theirs.

When I listen to Taylor sing, I want to hug her and then have a major bitchy cat fight with her (read: I secretly want to be Katy Perry…shh…). Taylor is real and changing and alive and full of exactly who she should be: Taylor Swift.
